Surgical and tissue collection services
The Jackson Laboratory is the world leader in mouse husbandry, colony management and genetics. We offer a full range of services to the biomedical research community in support of our research mission. With over 3,500 strains, The Jackson Laboratory maintains the largest collection of genetically-defined or modified mice in the world.
Our Surgical Services offer a variety of common surgical modifications in support of our extensive repository. In addition, our surgical team will work with you to develop specific techniques as needed.
All surgeries are performed in one of our designated suites, at the appropriate health status, located inside a barrier facility. For investigators that do not require animals, we can provide organs and tissues to meet your research needs.
