Electrocardiogram test
View our full list of Phenotyping Services
The Electrocardiogram (ECG) test measures electrical activity of the heart. Using a noninvasive AnonyMOUSE ECG screening system from Mouse Specifics, Inc., heart rate and ECG waveforms are measured in conscious, unrestrained mice when their paws make contact with ECG leads on the platform. Heart rate and several ECG time intervals are reported.
This test can be customized to include repeated measurements before and after compound administration to detect potential unwanted side effects.
Comparisons between wildtype and genetically-altered mice also can be made.
