Our Phenotyping Laboratory can measure systolic blood pressure and pulse rate using a noninvasive Visitech Systems BP-2000 Blood Pressure Analysis System. This system utilizes the tail cuff method to measure blood pressure in conscious mice.

Four mice can be measured simultaneously for easy comparisons between wildtype and genetically-altered mice.

Blood pressure tests can be customized to include measurements before and after compound administration or repeated measurements during several weeks on special diet, for example. Systolic blood pressure and pulse rate (heart rate) are reported.
