A quality control IVF test will be performed using wild-type oocytes from mice of the appropriate genetic background. The test results will be reported to you.

We require an attempt to recover non-standard strain backgrounds to live born (added cost of $685 per strain). This service is recommended for standard strain backgrounds if the fertilization rate to two cell is below 20%

An IVF procedure with wild-type oocytes from mice of the appropriate genetic background will be conducted and three embryo transfers will be performed. A minimum of eight specified and opportunistic pathogen free (SOPF) mice will be provided (typically 12 or more; if males are too old, we may not have sufficient sperm to freeze and cannot guarantee a minimum number of mice)
